Unreliable, sadly. Bios can be altered to report something else. Thats how scam cards work
I assume there are read only parts of the card that only the manufacturer can access. But maybe they are just actually that incompetent.
Probably going to see this in the small claims court then. Afaik the readability of a serial number has no relevance to them having to replace it.
What’s the limit on Small claims? I think you have to take out a mortgage these days to buy a 5090 😂
