Mit Nix wäre das nicht passiert!

This is the main character from Metroid, Samus Aran.
You know this is the same character, right?
fakeHash or "" are both for pkgs.fetchurl, which actually validates the FOD. builtins.fetchurl doesn’t (at least by default).
builtins.fetchurl "https://gregtech.eu/pictrs/image/dbab5862-65c2-4681-a45e-2360a1b8d548.png"
I am too lazy to compute a hash.
This Shift Lock is still directly above the Shift key. But nevertheless, we needn’t worry about that. We also put 6 symbols on one type, and decide whether a key is dead based on modifiers. (e.g. AltGr+J is the cedille)
The position of Caps Lock is because on mechanical typewriters, the shift lock key physically held down Shift using a push-to-toggle mechanism. (Windows’ default German layout still does that! “German extended (E1)” and “German (IBM)”, aka DIN T1, don’t.)
For people that type a lot using Level 3 (e.g. using the QWERTZ layout), AltGr on Caps is probably more important. On NixOS, it’s set with two options:
{
services.xserver.xkb.options = "lv3:caps_switch_capslock_with_ctrl";
console.useXkbConfig = true;
}
The kernel console REALLY doesn’t like E1 putting the lv5 switch on <M-f>, and instead deletes the f key, so don’t use the second option if your layout does that. (Just try it out and don’t gc until you’ve verified all keys work.)
Actually, in the Boot Services stage, UEFI can do a lot of things, like providing file systems (though only FAT32 is guaranteed), keyboard and mouse input, video output …

If the machine has enough power (which for a Pi is heavily varying between generations), yes, you absolutely can! Look into something like Docker Compose (or even running NixOS).
If you own a 3D printer, there are even quite OK model files available. Just print them in the right orientation (so they don’t break along the layer lines).

Does somebody still have it cloned? If it’s FOSS, we can just bring it back up, right? 😢

ICANN can (theoretically) not force anyone to deregister your domain. If your stack is all outside the US, and everyone collectively decided to disobey the US, the Internet’s decentralization would be true.
The hard part about building a decentralized network is finding out where to hide the centralization.
For the Internet, the centralization is hidden in the IP block and DNS Zone delegation. After this is done, that region is decentralized. A/I’s problem was that the registry for .org is a subsidiary of IANA. With EU servers, EU DNS and a EU domain, EU clients cannot be prevented from connecting solely from the outside. The US would need a collaborator.
You are free to implement any filesystem driver, and either load it in your custom implementation of EFI, or from an EFI image stored on a FAT partition. The EfiFs project provides many drivers under a GPL, including exFAT, Btrfs, ext2-4, NTFS, ISO9660 (cdfs), ZFS and also HFS(+).
iBoot is the bootloader on all Apple products.
UEFI doesn’t forbid you from implementing additional file systems, it just requires everyone to support UEFI-FAT. iBoot for example supports booting from HFS volumes.

But maybe those route settings are exactly what they are looking for.
The land of the Antichrist will fall dark … I’m seeing an increasing number of parallels to Revelation 16 in recent times. It’s quite interesting, especially considering the history of that text: Threatening the Romans and Nero (the original and literal Anti-Christ). History doesn’t repeat, it rhymes.

No, Microslop called it a “cancer”.
