First: I agree that plasma “donation” centers are 100% exploitative.
Plasma is 100% needed, though. My son wouldn’t be alive today without the countless plasma transfusions he got during chemo when his counts dropped.
It all sort of sucks across the board. This paints China as exploiting the US, but realistically, the idea of us giving those in need plasma isn’t a bad thing—it’s just the grubby money exchanging that’s the problem.
Comments like these are how I know people don’t understand how LLMs work. Even if you concretely tell an LLM “don’t do X under any circumstances” that does not mean it won’t do X. As the context window is filled and recycled, weights are diluted so it becomes more and more likely as time goes on that “rules” are broken. Hell, it’s mathematically possible it breaks the rule on the first prompt, given enough iterations.
